Strategy for finger-root blade milling

Kennametal’s new strategy for finger-root blade milling saves the user time, money, and the use of specialized tools. Now, CAM-data, complete tool set, and tool reconditioning are packaged together, enabling complex turbine blade milling operations in only one clamping operation. Before, individual milling sets and at least two clamping operations were required for the wide variety of root profiles. Kennametal’s new standard, pre-drilled finger- root profiles enable the machining of slots in very short times and significantly reduce the cost per blade.
