The Scheugenpflug Barrel Agitator Station for 200-litre barrels is a product innovation and further development of the familiar barrel agitator stations available on the market so far.

Up to now, mainly modified barrel agitator stations taken from the painting technology sector were used for the stirring and subsequent processing of casting resins in 200-litre barrels. However, these stations neither allowed for nor met the special demands of the different casting resins. Thus, conventional barrel agitator stations are unable to guarantee the sufficient sealing of the barrels for example. This is required to prevent irreparable damage to the expensive resins when using moisture-sensitive dispensing materials in a very hot and humid environment over a longer period of time. Another problem is that the casting resin cannot be placed in a vacuum and processed directly in the barrel. Furthermore, these conventional barrel agitator stations do not provide the features and process safety which users of preparation and feeding units for smaller barrels are used to and value greatly.


Simple operation for safety processing

The Scheugenpflug AG development team had this in mind when they decided to combine the functions of A310 preparation units for smaller barrels, which had proven successful over many years, with the preparation demands of 200-litre barrels. The result is an optimum product from a processing-technology viewpoint, one which stands out thanks to its high process safety and economic price. In addition to its temperature control and stirring abilities, new functions are now also available for preparing casting resins in 200-litre barrels, such as infinitely-variable evacuation which results in bubble-free preparation. This is achieved through the use of a specially constructed bell which is positioned completely over the 200-litre barrel, hermetically seals it, and thus replaces the rather inadequate barrel lid sealing systems in current conventional barrel agitator stations. Furthermore, the proven Scheugenpflug SCP200 controller is integrated with all the familiar functions, such as the vacuum controller, cyclical stirring, heating, filling level monitoring, limit value monitoring, operation data recording, external control, and much more. These features make the Scheugenpflug Barrel Agitator Station a comprehensively usable system, and possibly a preparation system which can be operated self-sufficiently, one which has everything to meet your processing-technology demands and the process safety you require.

Moisture and bubbles in large barrels are therefore now a thing of the past. When preparing casting resins in 200-litre barrels, the operator now has access to a large number of additional and useful functions which have long since belonged to the normal state of technology in preparation and feeding units for smaller barrels.
